Marcie Beasley, MA, LMFT, is the Clinical Director for Newport Academy. She has experience in numerous therapeutic modalities and specializes in treating addiction, teen depression, eating disorders, and trauma. Marcie has provided services in both residential and outpatient settings, and has worked over the years with both low-income and affluent family populations in treatment centers around the country.

At Newport Academy, recovery is a lifestyle that residents learn to embrace on their path to regaining their mental health. The Outpatient Program at Newport Academy treats teens aged 13 to 19 who have been struggling with teen depression, teen anxiety, personality disorders, teen trauma, and substance abuse issues. According to Marcie, the key to success is finding a balance through addressing mind, body, and spirit. Newport Academy believes in our teens’ ability to succeed, which, in turn, results in the teen residents accepting and believing in themselves.

We offer individual, family, experiential, and group therapy experiences, which support teens in examining their personal habits and behaviors in order to foster self-awareness. Another result of these services is the facilitation of healthier relationships within families and with peers. Through the use of multiple modalities, teens experience recovery within a safe environment.

“Newport Academy is built around honesty, integrity, and courageous teamwork. It’s a privilege to work with caring individuals who put their heart and soul into what they do. Newport Academy provides an approach that is experiential, creative, loving, and dynamic. It is an honor to witness adolescents and families change as they get the help they need.” —Marcie Beasley
